Vincent, aka thealvinboss is a graphic designer, photo-manipulator, digital artist, and Surrealist who tells his story through his art.
We immediately jumped into the image that is his PFP, The Gentleman, and the rest of that series. He told us that the hands are like the marionette, the thing controlling you. And that it’s how he can express what he is feeling.
We also discussed his other series and the surrealistic aspect of those compositions. The 30 Days of Collage, on OS, was created as an exercise of producing a collage every day for 30 days. He used stock images from the 1980’s to the early 2000’s, and put them into space. They are so fun, and futuristic. And definitely comment on human’s fascination with space.
The new series he is working on is quite different from the others. These feature inverted colors and show deep emotions. This led Vincent to tell us that he has been struggling with feeling alone and that he has been creating artwork from this place.
He released a new piece today, which is like the Gentleman, in that it is a face with the hands inside the head. It’s called, I Cry. Very powerful, and many people will be able to connect with it.
His favorite color is Orange. Probably because of how much he loves sunsets.
And, his favorite Surrealist is Salvador Dali. And he also draws inspiration from Instagram artist MilesArt.
The message he wants people to get from his artwork is, There is always a way out. Don’t give up.
